Veterans Day 2014 - I had a wonderful day today connecting on Facebook with Aunts, Cousins and Friends as we remembered the sacrifice that so many members of our families have made through their service in the Armed Forces of America. My sweet grandchildren looked adorable in their red, white and blue for the 4^th of July 2010. The tutus Kellie made for the girls were too-too cute!!

Happy Birthday AMERICA

JULY 4, 2012 - At two years old, sweet little Abigail Anne was so excited to celebrate the birthday of America!

She looked adorable dressed in her little red and white sundress and with her hair up in pigtails and bows.

She really got the hang of waving the flag and belted out several renditions of "Happy Birthday America."

She was a delight to behold!!

Light Up The Night

THE HEALING FIELD - 9/11/2011

It's been 10 years since terrorists hijacked four airline jets and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City, the Pentagon, and into a field in Pennsylvania. Over 3,000 innocent people died as a result of this horrific act of war upon the United States of America. 

Today we honored the memory of those who lost their lives and the sacrifice of those who lost their loved ones. In Tempe, Arizona flags were set up in the park at Tempe Town Lakes, one per each victim of 9/11 - over 3,000 flags - each with a name, age and description of the person represented.

Greg and I drove to Tempe Town Lakes to witness this memorial and display of patriotism. It was solemn and humbling. I'm so glad we were there. It was the right place to be.
